Trend Commandments by Michael W. Covel

Michael Covel describes Trend Commandments as an "aggressive-take-no-prisoners trend following manifesto" and asserts that "buy & holders might weep". While Covel’s focus is on trend following, which is just one of many return drivers available to investors (and that makes up only 20% of the trading by Mr. Dever’s investment firm), he is a master at communicating the philosophy required for traders to achieve long-term success. As described in Myth #2 of Jackass Investing, buy-and-hold is really not a strategy at all, but merely a way to rationalize losses. I highly recommend Trend Commandments, as well as Covel's other books and film. Please visit michaelcovel.com for more information

Market Sense & Nonsense by Jack D. Schwager

Many investors know of Jack Schwager through his Market Wizards series of book and his interviews with top traders. In this book he takes a different direction and covers terrain similar to Jackass Investing. In fact, it reminded us so much of Jackass Investing that we just have to repeat one of the top reviews for his book from his Amazon page:

"Jack Schwager's books are instant classics and this is likely to be another one.

At the same time, it does seem like lots of myth busting themes have already been covered by Mike Dever in his "Jackass Investing" book, which is in my mind one of the Top 5 investing books ever, up there with "Market Wizards", "Trend Following", "Trading Your Way to Financial Freedom" and "Fooled by Randomness".”

We couldn’t have said it better! If you agree, give the comment a “yes” vote here: Amazon Customer Review
